Donuts With Dad

March 6, 2009

Today was the annual Donuts With Dad day at preschool. They had some things they had been working on for us and this is one Turner had for me. These are his exact answers he gave the teacher. LOL!

Best Guarantee Ever!

February 17, 2009

I saw this sign in Giordano’s Pizza in Chicago — you can order their famous deep dish pizza online and have it overnighted to you. It’s so freakin good.

The President of the Internets meets with The Home Run King of Online Marketing at a top secret Austin location. Intelligence gathered on-site from undercover spies picked up discussions regarding Social Media global domination, pineapple sodas, stealth rocket scooters?, Hippie Church, upsell chains, proprietary programming hacks, and something about either “woo tang clan” or “woo-woo kablam”… a taco plate & soda pop graveyard was all that remained in the aftermath.

In related news, construction in the Austin area grinded to a standstill this week due to a taco famine & pineapple soda shortage.

Home Run King Tut!

Home Run King Tut!

Went to see King Tut’s Tomb exhibit in Dallas today.

Picked up this sweet hat in the gift shop.

King Tut liked his bling-bling!

Afrika Bambaataa says 6 more weeks of winter!

Afrika Bambaataa says "6 more weeks of winter!"

A few random thoughts for the first post today:

Groundhog Day: Why has nobody monetized this holiday? Maybe I’ll call an emergency phone brainstorming session with Rob Hawthorne, Jeron Howell, and Tony Michael to whip up a master plan for exploiting this magnificently underrated day!

Half Birthdays: OK, confession time – maybe the reason why I’m so big on this “magnificently underrated day” is because it’s my “half-birthday”. It’s exactly 6 months after (and before) my birthday.

How come kids measure their birthday’s by the half year, but adults don’t? You always hear kids tell you they are 4 “and a half” … but you never hear a grown woman say, “I’m 47 and a half!”

New iPhone: I took my 1st Generation iphone in to the Apple store because the camera was acting buggy. They swapped it out on the spot. They didn’t give me any hassle, or rigamaro…just made it right. That’s great service. The “genius” (that’s what the tech guys there are called) was totally cool about the whole thing and didn’t try to figure out a way how it was my fault (even though it very may well have been). He wanted to make sure I was a happy customer. I’m sure I’ll be buying the 3rd Generation iPhone the day it comes out.

King Tut: I’m looking forward to checking out King Tut & a bunch of cool Egyptian artifacts from King Tut’s tomb while it’s in Dallas. Not sure if I will be able to take any pictures or not – doubt it but I’ll try. BTW, I used to bust out the “King Tut” move back in the 80′s when I was a semi-famous breakdancer in Oklahoma City.
